Marja Toivonen

Dr. Marja Toivonen is Director of the BIT (Business, Innovation, Technology) Research Centre at Aalto University (former Helsinki University of Technology). The Centre employs 140 researchers, about half of them working in the area of services. Marja Toivonen is also Adjunct Professor in the University’s Department of Industrial Engineering and Management. Her specialties are services development, service innovation, and foresight. Marja Toivonen has written several articles and book chapters on these topics, and she has been an invited speaker in many international conferences (e.g. in EU and OECD conferences) and a member of the scientific committees for academic conferences.
